The Dark Forest (Pre-Alpha)

The Dark Forest (temporary name) is a 2D RPG dungeon crawler created with a custom-built game engine. The player takes over after their character has been mysteriously placed in the middle of a forest with no idea of their surroundings. The player needs to gather weapons and armor to level up and survive. As you progress, you will learn about the hidden secrets placed deep within the woods.

The Dark Forest currently features:

• Randomly generated areas
• Dynamic quest system
• Stats, leveling, player progression
• Hack and slash style combat system
• Multiple save files for multiple characters

Soon to come:

• Long chains of areas to create exciting dungeons
• Trading/bartering system
• Improvements to combat
• More animations, sound effects, and general media
